Description:

This a creative scenario originally made and uploaded by Demonic Badger a few years ago. An error caused it to be lost in the system for a long time but it has finally been recovered by Filefront staff. It had just a few minor issues which were spotted by Jaguar Lord which Redeemed74 has attempted to correct and now is released for all to enjoy. It has plenty of custom decals and is a very good map as long as you don't have a weak stomach!

Original Description by Demonic Badger:

Well, here is a new map I made in the Dune universe. In Arrakis (6), I was pondering how I could incorporate a sandworm into the map, and in this map, I not only put a worm in, I made it so you can run on top of it and inside it (eww). I also wanted the map to be asymmetric, so I made one side Fremen with rocky natural formations, and a Harkonnen side which is industrial and has slaves and huge pipe networks. I am not sure if I balanced it good enough for both sides but if anyone has any complaints, I will change it in another version.

I also thought it would be interesting to have the Hakonnen side have defense turrets and soldiers. Of course they are all neutral. Sometimes the imperial guard troops look like they have had too much caffeine and will spasm at anyone who comes near, also the bolter turrets will stare suspiciously at anything that walks, drives, or stomps by. I made some really steep dunes for vehicle ramping action and they seem to work well.It may play kind of slowly, I did my best to improve performance, though it may play slightly jittery. I hope you enjoy it, I have been working on this for a week and I have spent many hours on it!

	Readme File: Fluff: My Lord Baron, the crazed worm has been dealt with as well as the fools who activated the shield generator upon the sand. We were required to use atomics to neutralize the sandworm. Scouts have spotted stillsuit wearing humans beyond the carcass, most definitely Fremen. I fear the noise and violence that has took place here has disturbed the volatile Fremen and they are mobilizing an attack force. We are readying our defenses and this... annoyance shall be taken care of at once. - Teg Bunsii, Harkonnen Chief of Operations, Spice Refinery 08 Installation: To install this scenario, extract the zip archive into your Dark Crusade or Soulstorm folder. It should prompt you to confirm, saying that there already is a folder called DXP2 and that any duplicate files will be overwritten. Don't worry, it will not overwrite any files except for a previous installation of the same map.

what the hack is it?/ and why are the craters bloody?? confused

I think that the bloody craters are meant to be the remains of the sandworm...after all it was destroyed by 'atomics' so its bound to be a little messy =] Looks like a good map though XD

Hey it's me Demonic Badger, just showed back up after reinstalling old DoW and picking up some old pieces. I wasn't expecting the staff to actually take the time to recover this. You guys must really like it. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. big grin
