Column-sal conflict (1.0) - File Description  


Description:
This is the first map I've uploaded so any feedback would be appreciated. The map is four columns, connected by narrow bridges. There are 4 Relics, 3 Critical Locations, and a lot of Strategic Points.

Also, if anybody knows how to create the TGA image to make into the mini-map, could you please comment?

Posts: 41 		to create a minimap zoom out in the map editor so you can see the whole map (playable area) press the print-screen button, and open a image editor program.

Create a new image (equal to your screen res) and paste the image that was copied to the clipboard before when you pressed print-screen.

GIMP is an excellent image editor that's free, close to photoshop in functionality.

Cut away the edges. You might want to deform it a little so that the image gets a clean rectangle or square shape. Finally scale the image so you get the right size.
You can use other minimaps as reference.

Export as a tga with the right filename.

Posts: 84 		its easy,first open up mission editor,second press printscreen,third open up paint and press ctrl+v,then when your done open up adobe image ready and resize the map to 247x247,after that open up adobe photoshop and save the file as tga and rename the mm file like for example mymap_mm and mymap_icon,put _mm and_icon on your tga minimap file
