Description:

If you have already downloaded the Maproom Community Map Pack, there is no reason to re-download this file. All you need is to download the patch available at http://www.bitcheswithglitches.com/dow/mappacks/ and that will fix the error in the minimap and map icon for Bridge Too Far. That is the only difference between the two files.

This will not effect online play in any way. It just looks nicer to have to correct minimap file.

I'm really sorry this happened. It *won't* happen for Map Pack II as we are putting in measures to avoid this from happening again.

	Community Map Pack 1 (Updated Version) - Readme

	Readme File: For Warhammer 40:000: Dawn of War. It's an executable auto-installer file with more information in the installer itself. All you need to do is download it, run it (double-click, use the "Run" utility, use the command-line, I don't care how you do it), and enjoy! It won't write over any of the maps you already have, but it will add fancy map icons and minimaps if the map didn't have them before. So, even if you already have all the maps, you can download this to super-charge the maps you already have! No viruses or crap like that. No spyware. Just fantastic Dawn of War maps for you to enjoy.

uh, instead of taking up space why dont u realese an extra map wth it or something actally worthwile?! why bothere wasting the file space?

The patch is very small, like 250KB. All it does is replace the bad minimap and map icon for Bridge Too Far. Adding a map to it would make it much larger.

Also, while many people have downloaded the bad file from DoWFiles, just as many haven't and requiring them to download the file wouldn't be fair. The project is about releasing as many maps as possible with the little spare time and energy we have. Just adding another map would have caused everyone to ask which map, would have required testing, etc. Much easier to release a patch for those who were effected and put the proper file here so in the future people won't need a patch. Anyone who downloads the file from this page has the right files so there is no reason to download patches for it.

The file on this page is not the patch, it is the whole (fixed) map pack.

We are focused on working on Map Pack II and making sure this doesn't happen again.

i think that these new maps r so cool, especially the bridge too far and the jungle *****ualt maps, and please, keep makin more great quality maps cool

Just played most of these maps over the weekend and was extremely pleased by the level of quality and detail. The self-installer worked perfectly and the maps themselves are as good as anything that Relic has produced. Many thanks to all of the people who have devoted their time, effort, and talent to giving players such great maps. smile

Hey wanna say thanks to all you map makers out there. Downloaded a ton of maps and keeps the skirmish intresting fighting over different terrain. Thanks for your time and effort. Beer! Beer!
