Depth of Field mod (1.0) - File Description

Tech: 9
Quality: 9
Creativity: 9

Overall Rating: 9

This mod adds Depth of Field into gameplay aswell as bloom and a few other shaders that you can enable to improve graphic quality. There are benefits to this however there are drawbacks - you'll need a high-end computer to get a nice famerate while playing. In order to get this to work in game you need to hold shift+F12 to enable though reading up on the readme is highly advised.

This is very demanding video memory wise (roughly 64mb depending on screen res when enabled) so you'll need a fairly new graphics card to handle it, 256-512 of video memory at least. You could try it on a 128 but you won't like the framerate. Also the DoF conlicts with fog on some graphics cards so fog won't show up, but its hardly noticible. The HUD may be blurred aswell, but shouldn't affect gamepay all that much.

Depth of Field mod (1.0) - Readme
Readme File:
To install simply drag enbseries.ini and d3d9.dll into to same folder as the DOW .exe file is located. Fire up the game and you sould see some green text at the top corner of the screen, thats a good sign. When in game hold shift+F12 and that would enable the shaders NOTE bloom is enabled aswell but can easily be disabled in the .ini file. There is a tweaking guide for the shaders included so you know what your doing.

If you don't see the DoF right away change the view so the camera is facing the object side on and it would blur out the background nicely.

If you want to enable more shaders (motion bur, reflections (not tested). Shadows and water are incompatible! All the textures will turn black!) If you want to tweak during the game make sure you disable before editing the .ini file.

One last thing, I DID NOT make these files and they are compatible with most games that uses DX9 so have fun :)

These shaders were made by Boris Vorontsov. Visit the site at http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru (russian and english)

Wow, I'm very curious about this mod. We need mods like this that upgrade the DoW graphics. Especially for those like me that are not very enthusiastic about the dow2 gameplay. This might very well be the mod I've been waiting for.

I'm planning on releasing 1.1 very soon, it SHOULD increase the frame-rate by 10% or more, but I can't promise anything at the moment. I have to get permission to tweak it again (from the original author, I've adapted this for Dawn of War)

And just to sus things out is this working fine for you guys? No wierd glitches or anything? If there is just post up a message on the board and I'll do my best to fix it.

(And if your wondering about the name difference it because I didn't sign up before posting the mod and some one took my name before hand)

Um... The installation steps are included in the readme and how is it "bs"? If it doesn't work its most likely you don't have the latest version of DX9 (and its ONLY compatible with DX9)
