Description:
Finally, after working on it for over half a year, the FoK mod team presents you the latest, shiniest, best FoK release there has ever been.

Firestrom over Kronus Beta 3.5

Firestorm over Kronus (FoK) is a modification for the Dawn of War RTS by Relic Entertainment. A closer-to-Tabletop gaming experience with modified gameplay, win conditions, models and tech trees.
Introducing an Army Painter with randomised models (i.e. you won't see the same model twice if you view a unit more than once) - this feature is only partly implemented at this stage.
An improved and extended UI that allow a truly Tabletop-range of squad choices, abilities and upgrades.
Tabletop gameplay and squad choices for all factions, from the mighty Chapter Masters to the enigmatic Eldar Autarches. Equip your squads with a range of weapons and wargear straight from the pages of the Tabletop Codecies.

Readme File:
Rules on the sharing of content:
As with the Firestorm over Kronus mod and the C2C project before it, you may use most of the content from this mod as long as your credit the FoK team in your release. Content you are not allowed to use is listed in the mod's readme file and you should seek permission from the creators of those assets before releasing them with your mod.

Installation Info
- your DC needs to be patched to version 1.2
- delete any other/older FoK versions
- run the installer, it should automatically find your DC installation folder
- select the mod in the game manager
- enjoy!

I have already got this mod its out on lots of sites but great mod a lot better also they fixed the grey with green line models the commanders have new war gear but one glitch is sometimes the units attack a listing post and takes no damage.

Jendo that is not a glitch. Listening posts have armour just like vehicles, If you attack them with something that cant penetrate the armour then it will do no damage.

This mod is the most detailed, balanced (and soon to be complete) DoW mod that has ever been created. If you have Dawn of War YOU NEED THIS MOD!!!

I'm so glad the mod team kept it up. I bet that for some time Dark Crusade is going to have as many players as DoW2, perhaps even more! Thanks to all who have worked to make such an awesome mod for everyone to enjoy.

Truth be told, i have followed the mod on for some time now, and this is their last DC mod, they are working on a patch, i think, to fix some bugs, but this is the last DC before going to Soulstorm. THe game has been out for some time now, the entire game is great, well detailed to the last, with some bugs that really bother and very cool new units, like: Wraithguard, Nurgle walking mosters that i forgot what they are, tau leaders, banewolf, many more.... eek! Regards and have a nice time until the next beta comes out for Soulstorm.smile

Gotta say, awesome work guys.

And if you do decide to port this over to Soulstorm then there are several things you must do. 1. Remove Indrick Boreale and put in Gabriel Angelos, 2. Remove Firaeveus Carron and put in Eliphas the Inheritor and 3. Change the sorcerer's voice back to Sindri Myr.

Then it'll be perfect. Boreale and Carron are both terrible and must be replaced with the best two commanders of all.

I'm having problems. I've downloaded it and when I run the installer it comes up with an information error report saying.

"The file contains invalid data"

I'm re-downloading now. This time from a different host. Let me know if there's another fix. Thanks.

it is my hope that one of the FOK guys reads this

THIS IS A GREAT MOD I LOVE IT
to bad its 600 mb but yeah you made dow DC last so much longer with this.

i ask that when you finish you make perhaps a small commanders list. i remember even early in dev of this mod you said NO NAMED COMMANDERS.

could you possibley make another mod with maybe 10 units in it?

@Jaon. No special Characters sorry. It wouldnt be right seeing 4 Kharns running around and getting killed.

@Imperial Elite. Guardsman are how they are in their most recent Codex. remember that everything has its stats based of their respective codex, so that means no random buffs for you Skinnie.

@Jedi Bate. The FoK team will be starting work on 'Firestorm over Kaurava' after the current 3.5 version gets patched.

What I meant was, the older FoK mod's Guardsmen had their names on their battle armour. It's just confusing why they would remove the names when their older Guardsman skin was better. I mean, yeah the RSH files were 412th Cadian but couldn't they just reskin them to have the Dark Crusade Kronus Liberators colours and leave the random names on the skins?...

The filefront file download is corrupt, you have to get it elsewhere. The mod itself is amazing, not the most balenced but great fun to play. Need more people online playing it big grin

If they make one for soul storm I just hope they aren't doing things that make it worst like having listing posts increase pop for the tanks and units but the simple upgrade and certain units can damage certain things and only being able to increase your squad number near listing post,HQ and transports only being able to have 3 elites 3 fast attack and 3 heavy and have like a limit of 3 for every unit under heavy elite and fast attack instead of 3 elites and heavy and fast attack out of all of them and raise the pop to 20 or 30 change the limit of generators to 6 not 4 and take of the limit of 2 HQ to 5 and take off the limit of 2 barracks and 2 vehicle buildings and give back the all the buildings like the sacred artifact and the limit of 2 weapons out of 8 and give back being able to upgrade from the armoury and give back the limit of 6 turrets per HQ and 6 generators per HQ and give them back there original names for the buildings and units and give some units there models back like the guardian and stop with all the versions of tanks and just upgrade them instead of having to buy a land raider of any choice and take off the limit of 2 commanders just have them all like the original game.

Just watched your trailer and am now downloading the file. Being a huge fan of the Sisters of Battle, I can't wait to see your take on them when you do the Soulstorm version! I for one would love to see some Arco-Flagellants in action... Also, any chnace of seeing Arbites or some nifty Mechanicum troops?

question there: WHAT ELYSIAN MODELS?! and for your info, the models were changed due to them being "Closer to Codex". though, where did you get the elysian from. I have none of them... or is it because i downloaded from the RAR file.confused

WHAT!?! You mean I'm the only one who found them? I DLed from Moddb the RAR Version also. The Elysian_Troop and Elysian_Veteran or something like that already has animations. The WHM AND WHE FILES ARE IN THE ELYSIAN GUARD ART EBPS RACES ELYSIAN_GUARD FOLDER! smile And I don't know what you mean by them being changed because of closer to codex... The Elysian Guard models are shweet but only two which I checked in the W40KME have animations.

The AI is in the process of being updated for the new version by the AI team. It's very complex (so I'm told).

THIS MOD IS AWESOME!! but the units are friggin tiny!!! too small i think, u cant zoom in and get a decent angle to see the models, thats the only problem with this mod otherwise it rules

I dont think anyone seems to have had the problem I am having. I keep getting a fatal scar error where I can maybe play for 10mins and then the game just stops...it doesnt crash the entire program it just wont let me play the game im in...how can I fix that? I didnt have the "older version" of this mod so I know it's not that? Is there an afflictions because of other mods? Or is it because I was using the new "win conditions" this mod introduces like weather etc etc.?

Make sure that you choose the correct installtion of DoWDC, and click go. It's a simple installer.

I did read about them in while the download was going on. I had to break my neck reading nearly 9000.1+ letters and i saw them falsh. By the way, the modles i was talking about were the hellhound and the variants of it. To those that need help installling, go to the website fok.dow-mods.com and ask them there, or just look it up in moddb.com. Achso hab grad gelesen dass du deutsch bist. also is im grunde ganz einfach. musst einfach alle dateien aus dem Dark Crusadedow40k_DCLocaleenglish in den german ordner kopieren. gruß Patman

this looks like one damb fine mod there i had heard a good deal about this mod series of FOK i didn't think there was going to be anymore but this is good to see such doubts shattered although oneproblem for me is that.... why did i have to find out now that it existed... i want to DL but i have too small of a DL limit for this month to get it since i'm DL sumfin else at this moment must get it next month then, thanks for upload and can't wait to get it playing =)

The Firestorm over Kronus 3.5 mod is incredible in many ways, so don't get me wrong when I say that I'm experiencing numerous flaws with it. First flaw: the Black templar castellan and marshall along with other characters(bloodletters, grey knights etc...) have some visible ''green lines'' on their weapons and gear, plus the texture on the bloodletters' axes and the grey knights' psyguns appears only as black, which I think is either a bug or flaw. Cry Still, these minor details that I just mentioned could just be created by my own pc and not by the mod, so no serious problems. If someone could politely tell me what's the source of the previously mentioned problem I would appreciate it.
By the way, mod is 9/10

welll is a Mega great mod .the best i've ever seen.

but are some difference bettween tabletop round-up(ttru) and Firestorm over kronus(Fok).its of the titans.

In Fok the orks titan i will say its the gargantuant squiggot
and in ttru its an ork gargant but im confused in TTRU mod because i dont know in what race is the ork gargant.chaos or ork cuzz i never finded the ork gargant in orks buildings in gameplay.
and if are going to be a new FOK version at least put the warhound titan for ig buildable from mars pattern command.and put the ork gargant in the mek shop
(orks vehicle building).

we do not intend on adding titans or other apocalypse units. the squiggoth and baneblade are in because relic already modeled them so why not use them....

and yeah Grey Knight Terminators are being worked on. smile

don't suppose anyone is having the same problems as me?

1) The banner for the Chapter masters honour guard isnt showing, its just grey.
2) The orbital bombardment only fires one blast, whereas if the AI uses it it works fine.
3) The enemy AI never uses vehicles, just infantry?

I can live without these I was just curious. It is one FANTASTIC mod though, if the original game was like this then it would have been spot on!

thats right they never use vehicles but try in insane dificult.
i havent tried cuz in standart its already hard so im waiting for someone to put a
good map like start every player or cpu in a fortress.
like start in wall defenses im saying it will be base.then the other buildings.then turrets and strategic points ooh and strategic points near the base for requisition.then will be the walls and the physic shield as door.
relics in the fortifications and the other one.its not strategic point and not relic just i dont rmember the name.well all that will take a 1224x1224 map.but will be a great map i guess.
so then will be good to get ready fast and attack players or cpu in insane dificult.
then i guess the cpu will use vehicles.

Chaos100- I've sorted the vehicle problem! In the game options where you choose like annihilation etc, at the top theres an AI option, cant remember what its called but the description in the bottom right hand corner says it 'simplifies the AI'

but it obviously doesnt because frankly the AI became super interlligent, testing my defences from all three entrances of my base, finding the best one then sent in vehicles, elite tropps everything. so many good good battles now!

And I've played all the difficulties and insane isnt too bad when its 2 vs 2

Uhhhmmmm hey guys care to help me a while ago I got a FoK mod not sure if it is 3.5 but DAMN! Question, are you going to make Captain Thule like your FC except without a helmet, and with black hair and the jump pack?..

Also been modding with the FoK models and is there any chance you could help me with this:

Used the possess_ext to make the tau commander into a XV89 commander and gave him a research to allow him to revert back to a XV22. Problem is that the research does not come up and I tweaked it again and again but still did not come up. Do you guys have a solution for this?.. please would help a lot.

Great Mod. Love the detail on the Power Armoured units. The amount of units is just sick.



One problem though, the game crashes on the Ork Stronghold Mission as SM. Although I can understand that the campaign wasn't the focus of this mod.

although this mod kicks **** and campaign is very fun to play all over again, the crappy thing is that when you have to deliver the bomb in the Necron level, thule is replaced by the captain and poof mission is over. sucks.

The Dark Crusade game checks to see if you have existing registry keys for the previous games. If they are there, the other races are unlocked. Otherwise you can only play as the Dark Crusade races.

Heyy FoK team great job, this mod is unbelievably cool...
Just one problem im encountering, I am incapable of killing the Vindicare Assassin and the Big Mek. I am playing in campaign and came up against the Vindicare assassin, and was dismayed to find that he couldnt be killed, even when I had 2 Land Raider variants, and Ironclad Dreadnought, several marine squads, my chapter master and my CCM Librarian fighting him all at once. his armour says he is invulnerable. I have the same problem with the Big Mek. Why is this? I have several distinct memories of eliminating both models in tabletop games, why are the invincible in this mod? otherwise, fantastic work, thanks a bunch (Y)

When I get to the chaos home base and the cut scene plays for the bloodthirster the game freezes shortly after and says (Fatal Ai execution error- AI execution paused) the game its self keeps going as far as units moving and production but there is no interaction with the opposite forces as far as I can not destroy the warp gate at the end of the mission. Is there any way to fix this? I absolutly love this mod and I want to keep playing it. Please send any useful information to jcoolster180@aol.com. Please help

That's because FoK is not intended to support Single Player (much to our chagrin). Thus, there are some troubles with SP AI, at Chaos, Tau and SM strongholds.

This is a closer to TT mod, it does what it says, unfortunatly for you thats how TT works.

i believe they are making a new patch to balance out the mod and there you go... though they are making a good process and all there, but you get the idea of better textured models and tweaks to make those bugs go away...big grin

warhammerdude i seem to have the same problem and the only time i have gotten around that is when i have put the 'control area' objective on, hope this helps but i still see it as a problem personally but maybe it is something that hasn't been addressed but intentionally put in i don't know for certain

Since it is a beta, I have acomment or two concerning some things that seem like glitches.

There have been a number of times that my requisition rescource STOPPED. Nothing coming in, despite having a dozen strat. pts. Another thing is that many times the game does not like the Overwatch function, and will stop producing units at 13, 26, 33, and 95% and then act like there are no more units left available. If I'm doing something wrong, I'll be happy to be corrected.

Other than that, I think this is quite possibly the most heavily concentrated burst of pure awesome on the 'net. Keep up the transcendent work.

Really great mod, makes the game soo much more fun and makes you think about how to play more. Just a couple of minor glitches I've got: firstly the vindicare assasin is apparently 'invulnerable' and secondly; whilst units such as space marine honour guards are being trained they just stop at about 78%.

That aside: great mod and I can't wait for your future work!

Great MOD, suggest this to anyone you know has DoW DC, however couple of bugs, like in tutorial, the caption would suggest one place and the unit would be in another, and when it ask you to upgrade your commander, a error message pop ups saying "fatal error, paused" or something along those lines, however it works on the campaign so that is a bonus but you do lose the cinematics for the races and the dark crusade, I'm not sure about you but i love those cinematics.
Another downside i found to it was the requisition and power, although the power get boosted, (great bonus) the requisition on strategic points goes down dramatically and everything now cost more than 300 requisition.
Great mod, but i sincerely hope that patches are released for this, would also suggest to the makers to create their own voice masks instead of using the tech priest voice on tech marines. Over great MOD defiantly worth downloading big grin stick out tongue

Look, don't download for the torrent thing, use this thing called Downloader accelator plus, you'll be able to download it in piece, its a free download server, hopefully it wont bug you in anyway however i found it very useful downloading this, Google it, you find it

It says i need a strategic point even if i have one. And LordVaderBG said something about a 'control area' objective. if that fixes that glitch how do i do that?. If not then how do i fix it? confused

Hey guys, i can play the mod and this one is very good but 90% of my units has the name "No Rage" so i cant read anythng about the unit. I use the german version. Would be nice if anyone could help me.

Hello, I request permission for the use of new models, fxs, art, units, research and upgrades from this mod that will go onto the Apocalypse version 1.58. We were planning on using most of Corncobman's units, research and upgrades but most of his new stuff came from the Fok Team. So with the FoK team's permission, Apocalypse 1.58 will be a lot more enjoyable. Thank you.

I want to congratulate the whole team that work on this amazing mod....the graphics and details are outstanding....the game play is a nice combination of DOW and the table top game I remember....nice mix...and the scale of the the vehicles and soldiers unit is real good..so the details....all soldiers do really look like the tabletop figures..specially the chaos and Space Marines Units...I just wish the the air units speeders where more up on scale...but I hardly use them anyway...the dreadnoughts and land raider details are amazing!

I love this mod so much that I will play it from now on....and on..and on !Rockjavascript:void(null)....the sound and the special effects specially the explosions look a lot better than in the original....you guys should be working as designers for Relic....all the units look a lot better than in the whole DOW Series.

I would like to see this mod for soul storm too...I hope you guys do one someday and add the Tyranids too.....GREAT JOB GUYS....Keep it up and keep it WARHAMMER 40K FOREVER !.....YOU GUYS TRULY ROCK !

This is probably, no, certainly the best mod i've seen.
But, could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a patch so that the reinforcement
bar works. Or is it just me?

Patching is easy, just go for a multiplayer than online, you'll get the warning about downloading all patches :-)). Don't forget about you're antivirus and firewall to give permission. Have fun :-))

Hi there! I'm a big fan of your mod: I've played the previous versions and this one, and I've seen you're going to release the 3.6 version and the Firestorm over Kaurava mod soon. Great! big grin
Only a suggestion: would you include Spawns of Chaos? They're nice, in my opinion. I know they should be as random as possible, so why not to create some models wich randomly appear when you create them (as the chaos space marines new helmets)?

As mentioned before, sometimes a squad is unable to continue reinforcing itself even though it is not at full strength.
Same thing happens for squad upgrades :/
Most of the time, my Necron Lord can't even attack. ( It just walks up to the enemy and stands still even though I changed it to Ranged Stance. )
Not sure about other commanders yet.

Do these bugs only appear in Single Player ? :/

Other than that. This is a fun mod. I like the fact that normal infantry cannot hurt buildings. That's how it should be smile

OK, I read the FAQ at the FoK forum.
It says squads only reinforce near Listening Posts and the structures where those squads were produced.
That's why they sometimes appear to stop reinforcing/equipping.
I'm gonna play again and see if that's true smile

and also see if I can get around the "commander just standing around not attacking" problem.

Hey man when i played the game normal troops cant damage incomplete structures or other structures and another problem is that i can't produce more units in black templar because there is no resources on make a high population cap i need help here :C
