Freak's Mini Map Pack (1.0) - File Description

Description:
Freak's Mini Map Pack comes in two maps that Freak made some time ago but never published them.
For Naogeddon, Freak was inspired by the short-story "Deus Ex Mechanicus (written by Andy Chambers), and thus he made three versions of the map:

Naogeddon (4) : player 1 and 2 start in the Explorators Camp
Naogeddon (Necron) (4) : player 1 and 2 start in the Necron Stronghold
Naogeddon [vs AI] (4) : player 1 and 2 start in the Explorators Camp and player 3 and 4 should be set as
Necron-comps (AI), so it's a "compstomp"-map
Zinc Hill is a six player-map and takes place on the Planet Lyubov. The Lyubov War was part of the
Sabbat Worlds Campaign. A little hint, on Naogeddon players starting in the Necron Stronghold can make use
of the Necron Tunnels and the Necron-Beacons. On Zinc Hill infantry can use plenty of cover in bunkers, behind
sandbags and in the city ruins.

Map Name: Naogeddon (4)
Size: 256x512
Players: 4
Terrain: Grey/Dark
Author: FreakNasty

Strategic Point Flags: 22
Relic Structs: 4
Slag Deposits: 10
Strategic Objective Structs: 3

Map Discription/history:

Naogeddon is a dead World, located in the eastern border-sector EI.1 of Segmentum Obscurus.
After two previous expeditions on Naogeddon have been lost, a third expedition, lead by
Explorator Magos Prime Reston Egal, landed (6/839.641.M41) and encountered strong Necron-activity.
This is a 2vs2 map for AUTOTEAMS and FIXED Start Location, so that player 1 and 2 start in the
Explorators Camp and player 3 and 4 in the Necron-Stronghold-Tomb.

Map Name: Naogeddon (Necron) (4)

Strategic Point Flags: 20
Relic Structs: 4
Slag Deposits: 10
Strategic Objective Structs: 3

Map Discription/history:

Naogeddon is a dead World, located in the eastern border-sector EI.1 of Segmentum Obscurus.
After two previous Expeditions on Naogeddon have been lost, a third Expedition, lead by
Explorator Magos Prime Reston Egal, landed (6/839.641.M41) and encountered strong Necron-activity.
This map is meant for a 2vs2 versus Necron AI (Compstomp), AUTOTEAMS with FIXED Startlocations.
So i recommend to put AI players (comps) 3 and 4 as Necrons. There are some Troops stationed at the
Explorators Camp for support and to survive the first Necron Attack wave.

Map Name: Zinc Hill
Size: 512x512
Players: 6
Terrain: Urban/Dirt
Author: FreakNasty

Strategic Point Flags: 19
Relic Structs: 6
Slag Deposits: 3
Strategic Objective Structs: 3

Map Discription/history:

Zinc Hill, a tertiary sized industrial hive in the heart of Lyubov's southern Nexus, proved to be
the toughest of all subsidiary hives to conquer during the Lyubov War, 778.M41. Zinc Hill is a 6 player map
and meant for 3 versus 3 teamplay.

@ Droideka:
extract the files on desktop. it will create a folder called "Freak's Mini Map Pack". This folder contains the "Read Me" and a folder called "DXP2". copy the "DXP2" folder and paste it into the folder named "Dawn of War - Soulstorm". location is most likely Cstick out tonguerogram FilesTHQDawn of War - Soulstorm
If you have installed Soulstorm on another partition than "C", you have to paste it wher you have Soulstorm installed. Important is, folder "DXP2" belongs into folder "Dawn of War - Soulstorm". tell me if it worked. wink
@Taylorkiller:
thx wink
The 8th screenshot shows Kasrkins on a rooftop. Just wanted to show places where infantry can take cover. wink

i don't know if i get your qustion right, but the map that should be played vs AI is named "Naogeddon [vs AI] (4)" and should show up like that in the maplist. That version is just a funmap and players start with units and buildings already placed. I recommend to play that version of the map versus AI is, because if you play it player vs player (wich is also possible) it's maybe not very balanced. Imo the Necron AI in dow is not very hard to defeat, even on insane, so i made the Naogeddon [vs AI] map to make it harder to enter the Necron Stronghold for human players.

@FreakNasty

let me rephraze my question: see when you play player 1 & 2 as stronghold (necron temple or w/e) why is it just PVP... id try this or any other maps over MP but my race unlocker doesnt work so... im stuck with two lousy races... DE and SoB. and i see you made a AI version for the Player 1 & 2 at excavation camp so why not the same idea for the player's in stronghold?

Ah, ok. But you can play all the maps versus AI anyway, so if you want to start in the Stronghold, just pick the "Naogeddon (Necron) (4)" map. The beacons will give the Stronghold Players a big advantage. The Necron AI imo is a little to weak and won't use the beacons anyway, thats why i made the "AI"-map only for Necron Stronghold AI.
But about your problem with the race unlocker, there are two versions of it, 1.0 and 1.1.
For some reason the 1.1 version didn't work for me aswell, but with the 1.0 version everything worked fine. For some reason i can't write slashes here, so in the links i'm writing now a "+" means a slash.
Here is the thread at relicnews for Belials race unlocker:

http:++forums.relicnews.com+showthread.php?t=184816&page=1&pp=15

here you can download version 1.0

http:++www.file-upload.net+download-1135618+SSRaceUnlocker-v1.0.rar.html

and here is the link for version 1.1

Actually the race unlocker just has to be executed and will ask you for the CD-keys of DoW classic, DoWWA and DoWDC, so you need your valid CD-keys. Type them in with "dashes", like: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
If the cd-keys are correct, the unlocker will create the W40k, W40kWA and DarkCrusade.exe files in your Dawn of War - Soulstorm directory. But for further help you should visit the tread about the race unlocker at relicnews, there you can read about a lot of problem-solving.
