Imperial Guard MiniMod (0.1) - File Description  


Description:
This is a simple mini-mod for Dawn of War II, it just adds Imperial Guardsmen to the Space Marine HQ.

The imperial guard squad is a 10 man squad, 9 with laser guns, 1 sergeant with laser pistol and chainsword. The squad is pretty good at ranged combat, but will be slaughtered in melee, so keep 'em out of it! The squad is also very, very cheap at 150 req and a pop count of 10, so this squad is very spammable. On that note, this unit is NOT supposed to be balanced at all, its just a fun unit.

Just a side note, the guardsmen are mutes, they dont say anything. This is a bug carried over from the company of heroes engine, the bug where units from other factions do NOT say anything at all. I'm afraid you will have to live with it till someone finds a way to fix this.

installation instructions:
STEP 1:
go to your dawn of war II folder, the usual directory is "C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommondawn of war 2"

drop the "IGMiniMod" folder and MODULE file into there

STEP 2:
right click your dawn of war shortcut, and where it says "Target" replace
"C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommondawn of war 2DOW2.exe"
with
"C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommondawn of war 2DOW2.exe" -dev -modname IGMinimod

STEP 3: execute the shortcut and enjoy the imperial guard in DOWII :-)
