Description:

Here is another one of Aralez's survival maps, named "Orion Base". This map has you defending a base from an endless waves of enemies for you to crush. The map looks good, and like always - its fun to play.

Note: Follow the readme files instructions very carefully to get the map working, or you will get an error which means the map has failed to work.

I recommend this for a download.

	Orion Base - Readme

	Readme File: This is an 2 vs. 1 survival map for DoW: Dark Crusade. It will not work in WA or DoW. Installation: Simply drop the folder from the zip into your DC directory. Done. Credits: Map made by Aralez (2007). All Credits for the script and the idea belong to Argonought. Without him this map wouldn't exist, simple as that. Go download his other Survival maps! Usage: You have to use fixed positions to make this map work. Player 1+2 are a team and player 3 is the enemy, which MUST BE a computer player (!). Any victory condition besides Annihilation will NOT work. And the map will crash with a scar error message if you don't follow the Usage directions correctly. You have been warned. Special thanks to ThetaOrion for all his support in the last months.

Um, is this supposed to be a Tau base? Because there are giant webway gates from the Eldar dark crusade stronghold on the map and the Tau don't use webway gates.

well, i was looking at the screenies and thaught that it looked familiar. i thaugh castle ruelstine or somein similar, but i was actualy thinking of andonis prime! yep, i was rite, cos i checked the creator and i knew thew were alike. but, the only downside is that with these huge maps it takes ages to get from A to B! unless you build forward bases. hmm. still, i might download, BUT the person who makes castle roulstine for DC (cos mine doesent work) gets my upmost gratitude! gettin back on topic, yeh it just looks like a plain fortres, but its looks.... ok, might DL

just to clear something up, the eldar stuff is in the smaller base, the tau stuff is in the larger base, (so it looks best for a tau v eldar game big grin

)

Yes, sergent_killa, the Eldar base i supposed to be the invader's base. And you don't need to go from A to B in this map very much, it's a survival map, where the enemy comes to YOU smile

@Strikius, i had the same thought: What if a Necron Lord comes and resurrects all this necrons, luckily the AI never did that

@bioUltra: Sorry i can't scar-code, all i do is to use Argonoughts survival script, you should contact him. And there are enough decals in that map, but you actually have to look at the pics and screenshots, though . Do not judge the map by looking at a preview thumbnail.

This is great! Nothing like getting served up your enemy for the meat grinder. Great work! Now I can just concentrate on base defense and let the chips (not fries) fall where they may. This is awesome, and I dont really use that phrase that often.

Hey, ive seen the screenies and even seen my friend playing on this map but my Dark Crusade doesn't seem to like it that much. It won't even appear on the skirmish list. Just to clear things up what would be the actual name of the directory given by the game? and if it's already extracted to there there how do you get it onto the skirmish map?

this map looks awesome but iv extracred the dxp2 folder into my darkcrusade folder and i cant see it anywhere in the maps list.
any help would be apreciaited before i get flamed into oblivion for being a n00b.
