Tau Badges - File Description  


Description:
This file, by Adonis enables Badges on your Tau units, or at least most of them (you can see which ones are in the list via the ReadMe). Quite a handly little modification, that brings out that little bit extra in the Tau. smile

Tau Badge Textures for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade
Ver. 1.0 by Adonis

Like many of you, I wasn't exactly pleased to find out that the Tau weren't given the option to have different badges. So I've taken it upon myself to rectify this by adding the badges to the textures. Below is the list of units that have had badges added to their textures:

TROOPS

Tau Commander
Firewarriors
Broadsides
Stealth Suits
Crisis Suits

VEHICLES
=========
Hammerhead
Devilfish
Skyray
Drone Harbinger
Orca

Installation
=========

Place the files in the following directory

THQ/Dawn of War - Dark Crusade/W40k/Data/Art/EBPS/Races/Tau/Texture_Share

or

THQ/Dawn of War - Dark Crusade/DXP2/Data/Art/EBPS/Races/Tau/Texture_Share

You'll probably have to create the folders if you don't have them.

**NOTE** The only problems that I ran into were with the Crisis Suits and the Hammerhead, Devilfish, and Skyray bodies (which are pretty much all the same). The texture is in such a way that it's not possible to get a badge texture on the backs of the Crisis Suits, and the same for the rear of the above mentioned vehicles.

Also, I want people to understand that these badge textures are pretty much meant to be a quick fix for the already existing Tau badges. If you use any other custom badges or whatever that aren't Tau badges, they will look a little weird, in my opinion. The models are made to fit the badge, not the other way around. I'm letting you all know now so I don't get complaints later.
