hey guy, i got some feedback from playing the mod. and i think that the sisters of battle need their armor to be team colorable but the rest of the unites can stay how they are.

we have SS coming out in 20 days. how many will stay with witch hunters MOD when when we have true witch hunters with proper army painter, and no damn duck banners.

i have played this and didn't find the petin engine nor the stubbers as a upgrade for the arbiters is this an second beta release i dont mean it offensive but it looks like nothing has changed

this is the first PUBLIC BETA.Thats right it says v0.2 but it says because the first beta was not public.
@soz=You need combiner mod and then install this mod.In the ingame menu----->Mod Manager------>Combiner Mod

To be honest, when SS coems out, I'm gonna play one game with teh Witch Hunters, then Laugh at them and play on this Mod. This mod is so fantastic!

I haven't seen the witch hunters before but these are amazing, well done guys!, great unit and building detail ! beautiful building animations for a change! new Interface very well done (only thing loading screen is messed up) and good main menu music !
I was not getting SS 'cos I didn't fancy the Dark Eldar and I see the flying units a bit Starcraft-like better leave them out. Now I can still see the Sisters of Battle.

with the combiner mod. it will not work. and when it does, it doesnt show any of the 4 new races i want (WH, DH, SL and Nids). Aaargh!!!

we know it is the first beta now, but the title said v0.2, which is why he was disappointed

like me.....


Problem: The Cannonness wouldn't die for me. Well, she died, so i started building another one, then the dead one somehow came back to life, so i had 2 cannonnesses confused

Also, the health of the Cannonness doesn't regenerate

Zealot2021 - you have to download all the other mods AS WELL AS the combiner mod for it to work

PS - you can get the Harlequin mod in the combiner wink

i did download them...
i can play wh, and dh (with patch, ect), and Nids, and Steel legion (but not bloodangels, didnt get them cause i dont want em). its that they wont work for combiner.

so any other help?

hmm, strange

open the combiner_dc module file in your C root directory

check that it reads

RequiredMod.1 = dowai
RequiredMod.2 = objective_points_DC
RequiredMod.3 = inquisition_daemonhunt_comb

RequiredMod.5 = Steel_Legion_comb

WARNING - don't launch the mod from the installation screen!!!

Exit setup, then launch DC as normal, and select "Witch Hunters" from the game manager

Otherwise if you change back to DC from the game manager (after launching from setup) there are no saved files...

after uninstalling it, go to start, control panel, add or remove programs, click dark crusade, click remove, a screen will pop up saying remove, repair, and something else, click repair. after its done it should play dark crusade normaly.

SO I already gathered that tis is just the second version of the first (non-public Bets) However the first non-public beta relaese did'nt have all tose different Arbite ugrades noe that weard brown coloured walker thingy that are shown in the screnshots..... So is then like a completed version...??? And thus I should down load this one and uninstall the non-public Beta that I got like a Month or so ago ?? Hey by the way ONE OF MY OTHER FAVORITE MODS = Dawn of War Depth of Heresy: AGONIES OF WAR (for DC).... Its awsome.... yet simple.... devestator squads, marine based multimeltas... etc... man I am addicted to its simplicity, orks are now the Uber evil enemy and chaos are the cancer of annoance their supposed to be... infested every empty sapce left open..... I RECOMEND CHECKING IT OUT.... please excuse my spelling I'm Canadian. Rock:

This mod has the best graphics I have ever seen in the DoW series including the original relic stuff.

The units are so incredibly beautiful that I keep pausing my game over and over again, to have a look at them. The detail, the incredible detail, I loose myself in the detail of those models and textures...

The texturers and modelers of this masterpiece should be hired by Relic immediately.

yea thats prolly right...

but in all seriousness, i think these mod dudes should go and completely redo the entire armies of the original dow, dow WA, dow DC, and the upcoming SS... if relic and (the other company thats making SS) would pay them... cause i compared DH models with the WH models, hell WH with most armies, and they are waaaay detailed... be cool to see everything in that detail stick out tongue

I agree with zealot.... also about the detail... if you loog close enough(or not) their armour has etchings.... ? I mean how cool is that ? and whats the deal with not following up with the full version yet there are only a couple of missing modles and some (if not none) bugs etc... I'm not one to press our community modders but man this one is to good... and as for the Agonies of war not being the an awsome mod.... ok, but the concept is very enjoyable... the diversity of squads does require more concentratin on tactics etc... ie devestator squads vs. tanks etc... as support, and marines squads etc... for the real nitty gritty.... and the ammount of diversity you get for the imperial guard, wow... but as for graphics, glitches, and bugs etc.... sure but I believe its still a work in progress.....

FACE IT DOW IS OLD and yet ANOTHER expansion is out and im just wondering when they will stop(not that i want them tosmile ) and mabey they could slightly revise some of de models cuz those models in this beta...just plain....awsome and dow IS the first RTS i game ive seen where u can change eye color in fact the only one with an army painter( i think) i porb spent a good 20 mins lookin at des model in painter mabey longer if i COULD PAINT THEM-DE ARE WORTHY OF......A......meh ther alright

Im play Daemonhunters mod and i said it is great.... then im play steel legion mod... this is bether.... but when i instal that mod and see how its looks... im must say this is best mod for DC ever! this mod is better than any i have ever played(and i know mods) It has proper modals and proper icons and proper voices(even though they are just a girl pledging alligance to the emporor,which i have no problen withbig grin) If this is the 0.2 then 1.0 should be a new expansion set with a box (even though u will have to buy it Puke!olleyessmile

what, dear friends, is the 'Blood Angels' Mod? ive gone to the links that LG8110 provided and i find...nothing about a 'what' 'why' or 'where' regarding this vaunted mod. so what is it. where is it. and why does it exist. i can understand the SL, WH, DH, Nids, and Harlequins.....but a blood angels?Roll Eyes (sarcastic)

looks great, but i wouldnt get worked up about when it comes out.

PS, i couldnt find this harlyquin mod thingy that can work with combiner mod, anyone care to help a brotha out big grin

To add the Harlequins to the Combiner mod:
1. get the combiner mod and install it and any other already compatible mods you want.
2. Open Crogram FilesTHQDawn of War - Dark Crusade
3. Find the “combiner_DC” module file and open it with Word or Wordpad
4. Under:
RequiredMod.1 = dowai
RequiredMod.2 = objective_points_DC
RequiredMod.3 = inquisition_daemonhunt_comb
RequiredMod.4 = Witch_Hunters_comb
RequiredMod.5 = Steel_Legion_comb
RequiredMod.6 = blood_angels_comb
RequiredMod.7 = Tyranids_comb
RequiredMod.8 = DXP2
RequiredMod.9 = W40k

add RequiredMod.10 = thedancemacabre_comb

5. Make a copy of “thedancemacabre” module file and rename it “thedancemacabre_comb” and leave it in the same folder (you’ll notice all the other compatible mods have the same thing going on)
6. Open the newly created “thedancemacabre_comb” module with Word or Wordpad and change the line “Playable = 1” to “Playable = 0”

the infantry have very low health and die too easily but apart from that the mod is very good.

if your looking for a mod to make the models look better then your should try fok the beta has been out for awhile and i gotta say the models are just amazing and the gameplay isint bad at all. also i would reocomend the kingdom map set or ira aduros hell beneath if your looking for a few great maps with very high attention to detail "ira aduros desent use too many decals for you low end pc users like me"

Yea i have the mod, and in all honesty, its a great mod, just kills my eyes because the damn units are too small. if it wasnt for that i would love it. stick out tongue

That being said, if you know of that mod, you have also seen their chaos cult marines, which look phenomenal. I mean, Tzeench and Nurgle look great, and some of the noise marine teasers look good too. big grin

I just hope they, and the TTRU mod, can get the vehical:unit size ratio set at a point that seems more real, but dont kill the eyesight. take a look at the Steel Legion mod. they have good sizing, and im not forced to squint when i view the different units. Resistance is Futile!

yea i know what you mean, all the models in the game were touched up so well i couldent belive it "though my computer runs like crap when i play it but thats just my crappy comp" ive seen many mods that could add new races or models but not many touch up the existing ones and fok payed close attention to evry race too wich i thought was pretty kool couse i like too play as evry race.i know what you mean about the small units too they can be a pain sometimes when you want too look at the big picture, but i dont mind it if they can make the damn tanks and buildings look like real tanks and buildings lol, that was one thing i thought relic and thq didnt do too well.you like steel legions? me too its definatly great if your a pretty regular ig player wich i am (tankz!) the beta im looking for is sisters of battle aka "witch hunters" "adeptas sororitas" whatever you fluff types want too call it lol.i prefer what i heard on there forums, nuns with guns.

The Cannoness seems to have quite a few problems in addition to what you stated, actually.

She's bugged in that you can't melee her with other heroes because they just knock her back (doing no damage) and then switch targets (and if you attempt to retarget her they'll just do the same thing, knock her back then switch to another target), which probably makes her a bit too powerful right now; The same issue that existed with the Tau Commander in the original verson of Dark Crusade, but that Relic then fixed in the Dark Crusade patch. The SoB should see how Relic fixed it with the Tau Commander and then do it here too.

I dl'ed the mod..... its great and all, but i am having MAJOR technical difficulty. For instance, no matter what I do, the loading screen is the Witch hunter one, and the loading screens for skirmishes are completely messed up. And I have almost constant AI failiures. Secondly, I cant play any other mod (not even the original DOWDC) after installing Witch Hunters. I need to know how to completely remove the files and "restart" DC. Help much aprecciated. smile

What are you talking about? There are witch hunters all over the place in this mod. The whole Adeptas Soritas is a witch hunters unit. Your crazy to think there aren't any witch hunters in this.

theres a difference in this aspect. they call this witch hunters, but people think of the sisters of battle. the adeptes sorotinas are not which hunters, they are overlly zealous nuns wearing revealing battle armor, flamers and haldberds.

that being said, this does include the adeptes arbites, and whatnot, but i just want to be clear that WH mod =doesnt equal= SoB

It doesn't but the Adeptas Sorotinas is part of the Inquisition: Witch Hunter. This part of the inquisition wouldn't allow men to fight. So they used women. Thats how the Adeptas Sorotinas formed. They are part of the witch hunters. Yo can look in the codex if you don't believe me.

just dl'd - & the models are exquisite! Haven't played enough to comment on gameplay, but I have the same problems re: loading screens as soulreq., although, at worst, they're an annoyance. I concur w/ SCONE that several voices could be spruced up. Overall, I'm not impressed w/ what I've seen of SS & could care less about DE or flyers -- so I'll stick w/ this, DH, LotW, & TTRU (hoping the latter fixes ratio problem soon smile ). can some one do a mod to put these sisters of battle models in place of the soulstorm models... and while were on the whole reusing models, why not make the arbites part of a seperate army you could add a research centre and a specialised units like k9's and judges and to bulk it up more incorperate the necromundian 8th as the heavier infantry (with new imperial guard models of course) with a vehicle bay for chimaras and so fourth... think about it.

it could make a great new race called somthing with necromanda in it or somthing

One thing make me nervous . All make fantastic mod (full race) to darck crusade!Why?Soulstorm have bigger number race,bigger number map,better textures.Someone say because soulstorm have flying units and they destroy game.But they don't have influence on the game!Always better is use standard ground vehicles than flying. I don't understand nothing team.: Only tyranid team is that one who make conversion on soulstorm. Someone know why other team don't do that?

I love this its so cool its like better than soulstorm but I like the Guitar and the violins alot better.

Relic if they made Dark eldar then I would stop playing Soulstorm altogether.

Also what I would like to see in dark crusade game is all the units for each race like bikers for space marines and Bloodletters for chaos

note: I am a fan of warhammer so I play alot of tabletop games

its a great mod but the lack of an AI really brings it down cause theres nothing to do in skirmish!!! stick out tongue

but with that said this is really something...the detail is amazing i really enjoyed it, i just hope it didnt die, which i dont think something of this magnitude would (imo this is BETTER than the actual DoW SS sisters of battle)

You should do something about the wings on the living saint and the flying babies (forgot their name), they seem a little like folded paper when they flap, maybe you should make them a bit thickker.

Also... the voices... someone else mentioned this.. but it think that i should put it down, they seem a little bit too young for sis o battle, they sound a bit like my freinds 12 year old sister.

First and Foremost, great Mod! Kudos and thanks to whoever made it.
However there are some things I've noticed about the mod that I'm not sure are bugs or just abilities I've not yet been able to find.
Bugs or Special Abilities?:
1. Nine saints, Playing against the Comp with SM I managed to kill the comp's living saint, then later in the same match another saint came up to attack but instead of diverting all my units to attack it as I had before I had a dreadnought with a lascannon upgrade standing in heavy cover (a crater) fight it, now the dreadnought held its own for I'll say at least a good five minutes against the one saint attacking only in ranged combat, (as the saint would not enter the crater) and when I clicked over to check up on its progress a few minutes later there where two saints, I figured the saint must of had a clone ability and only one was the real one and thought nothing of it as the dreadnought was still going strong. I come back later and there are 4 saints, the dreadnought still there. Well then the comps other units wiped out my base (using the exorcists I might add) I look over and there where 9 saints!
2nd The comp witch hunters used some sort of attack that canceled out my ability to upgrade my squads. I had a 4m SM squad and I couldn't reinforce for a brief moment after what looked like one of the eldar farseers shock blast things. I could find this attack when I played as them though. Was it one of the acts of faith?

Closing comments: Love the celestians' voices don't change them at all, the standard SoB squad voice is a bit grating but after adding celestians to everything they sound awesome, canoness voice, eh, everything else is fine especially the vehicle voices.

2 using the combiner mod I can't have witch hunters and daemon hunters in the same match the game always gives me a fatal AI execution error 2 minutes in.
The DH did caused the same thing to happen again with Steel Legion after they cast their Navy launched anti-infantry attack (forgot name sorry). I guess DH just don't play nice with others... hehe.

3 Sorry post is long but I don't want to spam. I recorded the 9 saints match, so if anybody wants to see it let me know how to upload recorded games and I would be happy to prove my comments. Thanks again for a great Mod!

i had the same problem of the saints and i was on a downloaded map, and at the end of the game as i was playing guard at the time on insane i saw the whole map filled with those saints and not much else si i second your notion of a glitch

Two of my friends and me was going up against 3 ai's. We destroyed two and pushed the witch hunters in the corner of the map. Then they built 8+ living saints and killed all three of us(Orks, Necrons, Eldar).mad

Is there a way to edit(text or other wise) it so that the ai does not spam the living saints

I have a major problem...
i have a dow:ss and i don't have any patch for it, I've been running the vanilla for all these times.
then suddenly I found out about all these wonderful mods (especially the new race mods: daemonhunters, steel legion, and the tyranids), and all those three mods work fine so far.
I have the dawn of steel mod also.
Later i got tired of switching back forth between the mods so I decided to put all the mods in the daemonhunter mods (as suggested as the combiner mod on some of the websites).
Everything was fantastic till I ran into the Witch_Hunter mod !!
This mod, I assume, only works for DC and even if I were able to run it in SS game manager, I don't think it has the coding to work well in SS.
What do I mean? I was playing the Dark Eldars and the UI for soul ability is gone!
Sisters of Battle doesn't have the Faith resource section either!!
HELP!!
I tried to type in requiredmod: witch_hunter thinging to my daemonhunter mod (which acts as my combiner mod) but it wouldn't run!!
I really want to play all four of the races together along w/ the other original 9 races in FULL CONDITION!!

Its too bad the mod has been in this state for so long. I would have loved to see the finished product. It really is a lot nicer than soulstorm. I hope the Mod team realeases the final-ish version of this someday.

Indeed, I would love to see this mod finished and released for Soulstorm, but unfortunately I think the mod team has stopped work on it, 3 years ago, and they wrote in their terms and conditions that no one may change the mod without their permission.

Why is it the AI doesn't work with Witch Hunters? I always get a AI crash when they build the first Plasma Generator. Kind of sucks...

I love this mod, I think it's really great. But when is the final version coming out? It's kind of upsetting that you can only build some of the buildings because the rest require the final mod release.

hello guys, i have a damned problem here and i need your help...
well, I downloaded the Witch Hunters Mod beta v0.2 and installed it.
The surpire accured when i went inside the game and looked up at the army painter: i can' t change colours of the models, for example, and there aren' t a lot of charachters like Callidus Assassin, Eversor Assassin, the sister Hospitaller and so on.... (like instead in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em9LSBv7KU4 )
However...after that i make a skirmish and discover that a lot of things (like buildings, units and other) are blocked and it says that "i need the mod release".
Now...can you help me? where can I find the release? Is there a way to resolve all of this and make the mod work properly? PLEEEEEASE!

I've been told by several potentially reliable sources that there is or may be a 'final' version for Dark Crusade if not Soulstorm floating around the web. It was uploaded for a very short time and several modders for the DoW community have it for their mods. I've also been told the Russian mod community has their hands on it. Any help at all in finding the closed beta version with the arcoflagellants, etc would be greatly appreciated.
