anyways what the guys said about the game being a rip off isnt true but both blizzard and games workshop did get complaints of the nids and zerg being ripedoff of starship troppers with the bugs. but it worked out so. |

I just got me DOW 4 days ago and i have became so Hook with it , that my life for the last 4 days have bacame part of the Warhammer 40,000 universe... i have visit about 100 web pages.. and i been learning a lot about the warhammer 40,000 universe... i have made my self a chapter call the Silver Skulls using the info from GAMES WORKSHOP... AND I BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME FOR 4 DAYS.... HELP!!!.... im getting too adicted to it ! .... Im also OK as APLAYER....12 victories so far and 1defeat at the hands of The world eaters... i will get revenge later from this Batards... but well the thing is that i would like to be in touch with the communitie of Warhammerheads out there and get THE BEST MAPS AND MODS .( BUG'S FREE please ! ).. so plese seend me info and recomendations so i can get them... i allready got me the patch 4.41 and is exelent.. Now IM NOT getting Winter Assault cause it requiere a 1.8 Pentium 3, ... and i got me a , 1.6 Pentium 4 with a G force mx 440 and two 512 sticks.... and this really sucks... cause Winter Assault look really cool with all those Imperial Guards... and the ChaplaIn dude !!!... but i will get them as soon as i upgrade my pc. ... About me, im stuck in Puerto Rico, Veteran of the First Gulf war in 91...im also a Computer Graphic Designer and i make my living by doing gigs at magazines and Avertising Companies here at the Island !... i love History, Hard Rock and Blues music, Beer and Hot looking womens ...im 40, married and bore until i got me DAWN OF WAR... i really love this game.. the art and the graphs are incredible and the Camera zoom is too good to be true.... Posts: 6 | yo dude, the one wanting to know about custom badges and banners, all u gotta do is get custom pics, from this site they got all codex space marine chapters in a packet (.rar file though) and u check out their afiliate, hangar-8, and his site has got lots of custom team colors, badges, and banners. just check the read file to learn where to unzip them.

Posts: 1 | I need a mod that gives some sort of alert be it visual or audio. This alert should go off when requisition goes over 200 or 300 depending on what the user sets the alert to. The purpose of it is simple. It will help players who are busy micromanaging or players who just arent quite that good yet to remember to spend their newly gained requisition. If this mod exists already pls post a link ^_^. |

To say i woulda been totally made up 10 or 15 years ago when i was a teenager is daft, im totally made up now!! Big credit to the guys producing MODs and the numerous other add-ons available on this site cause it will only serve to get this thing snowballing....well impressed.
Always thought W40K was probably the richest but unbelievably unexploerd vein for a tearing movie, any body ever heard of anything i the pipeline??

In my first tabletop game with multiple players I held off an entire Necron army with just four Blood Angel Death Company Marines for a ten-turn game, and at the end I still had one standing! Not that I'm a good player at all, just illustrating that you have to look beyond cool looking troops and either field a hardcore force or come up big in the strategy dept. Good luck with the Necrons, see you on the field of battle! |

Posts: 1 | Actually if you ever look back into some of the old interviews of blizzard programmers and such, you will see they themselves say how much they "borrowed" from warhammer and warhammer 40k when they made warcraft and starcraft.
Whats funny is now that warhammer online is coming out, blizzard is trying to sue for copyright infringement, though the stuff they have copyrighted they stole from WH and WH:40k lol. |

Posts: 1 | Ok, This is one of my favorite games of all time. But yea I am getting really bored of it lately. My favorite races are the Tau, Chaos, and the Imperial Gaurd. This is my idea of what kind of mod someone should make for the game. For all "Minor" Infantry units in the game. (Such as fire warriors and Spacemarines etc.) A "Entrench ability" so that when you are on a defense your soldiers will have the ability to dig a trench around a protective area, and also at the same time fighting a trench warfare. I believe this ability will better the gaming experience since it will (instead of a new race) a new strategy. Also the ability will allow to put bolt guns and anti-vehicle machinery into the trench. It should also allow the trench to be kind of a capture point as well. So that when you are driven out of the trench, instead of the enemy destroying it. They just take it and use it against you. I believe this mod will make the game more interesting for me and maybe for many others!!!!! But heck it is just a suggestion. |

Posts: 1 | if you cant use mods and your using platinum edition this is how to get them to work the mod is trying to install onto C rogram FilesTHQDawn of War-Dark Crusade in platinum edition this file does not exist so halfway though it will ask you where you are sending the mod when you start installing the mod change where its going to Crogram FilesTHQDark Crusade that will solve the problem as for the patches i still cant figure out how to get them to work |

Think how cool it would be to build a trench outsid ur enemys base. I think that they should have morters so that they can bombard enamy bases and trenches.
