| | Voice Actors For ULTRAMARINES Movie Announced - Official News Posted by: UwsarHatAnupuw on 03-09-2010 @ 14:30 - Source: http://ultramarinesthemovie.com/news/2010-03-09/vo | | | This News Item has been viewed 594 times! | Dawn of War News | Warhammer Fan unite!
We’re very pleased to announce that Terence Stamp, Sean Pertwee and John Hurt head the cast of actors lending their voices – and their facial expressions - to the Ultramarines movie.
Other key parts are to be played by Steven Waddington, Donald Sumpter and Johnny Harris, with Ben Bishop, Christopher Finney and Gary Martin appearing in supporting roles.
The three lead actors shared their thoughts on working on Ultramarines...
Multi award-winning and Oscar-nominated Terence Stamp confesses that a boyhood love of the science fiction classics attracted him to his role. “Warhammer 40,000 is an incredibly strange world, yet one with rules,” he says. “I felt very comfortable with Ultramarines - in fact, it’s really the culmination of a lot of things I’ve been in.” Stamp’s previous credits include Superman, Superman II, Valkyrie and the Halo 3 video game.
Sean Pertwee, acclaimed for his role in the action horror movie Dog Soldiers, says, “Before Ultramarines, I had no idea about the depth of Warhammer 40,000. I used to be into graphic art, so I find the concepts and architecture and character designs quite extraordinary. This film really is being made for the fans.” Pertwee’s other credits include Event Horizon, Mutant Chronicles and Equilibrium, as well as the video games Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior and Killzone 2.
John Hurt, winner of countless international awards and Oscar-nominated for his performances in The Elephant Man and Midnight Express, has a special feature role in Ultramarines. He says, “I know quite a lot about Warhammer 40,000 because my elder son was into it. I used to take him down to the store in London’s Oxford Street so he could see it in action. It’s a very different world which really teases the imagination.” Hurt’s numerous other film roles include Alien, Hellboy and Hellboy II and Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Vanessa Chapman, managing director of the production company, Codex Pictures, is delighted to have attracted such a prestigious cast to Ultramarines. “Our goal has been to give the characters distinctive and authoritative voices, fitting to these superhuman men of war,” she says. “Coupled with the authentic and engaging facial capture provided by Image Metrics, these outstanding actors are going to do so much to bring the Warhammer 40,000 universe powerfully to life on screen.”
You can see the voice actors talking about being a part of the Ultramarines movie here.

No way, my Marines are't falling to chaos as long as I'm commander.
Wait what?
God I hope it is a standalone expansion now. I didnt pick up DoW II because I didnt want to hear about how the "Great" Captain Thule lead the BR to victory on Kronus. However, now that that is out of the way, maybe I could play the game with out listenting to how the traitors defeated the Guard (meaning I could pretend the Guard won Kronus)
I would so corrupt the BR to show their true colors and have them purged from the Imperium like they should be.
I think, although it sounds more enjoyable to corrupt, I will remain pure in my first campaign but on the second I'm going Chaos =D
Yes, Chaos Rising is a standalone game. Thule is now stuck inside a Dreadnought.
And I so want the Word Bearers to play a part in Chaos Rising. So far, all we've got is the Black Legion.
First I'll stay pure and redeem the Chapter in the Eyes of the Emperor.
Than I'll be corrupt, and I'll avenge the burning of Prospero on those imperial dogs... I mean wolves! All will be dust and ashes!
Corbec_UST : With Chaos you will be buchering weakling guardsmen Haw - Haw!
The strong are the strong alone!
My Wolves ( for i neglect the fact they are indeed Blood Ravens ) shall never be corrupt for their faith is strong. I hope for more imperial support in this game , perhaps a few mentions of battles and other chapters etc
Corrupted Predator Tank...There will be nothing left to bury!!!
Hell yeah. If I wanted to play as Blood Ravens, I would play the first one.

| | New Hero 'Sorcerer' - Official News Posted by: dreadlord12 on 02-28-2010 @ 12:54 | | | This News Item has been viewed 2038 times! | Dawn of War News | Chaos Multiplayer Heroes – Sorcerer
The Chaos Sorcerer is represented as a follower of Tzeentch, the Dark God known as the changer of ways. These psykers are unlike those of most other factions. The Sorcerer wields death and destruction with all the fireworks and power you’d imagine from a servant of the Dark Gods. His powers can break enemy formations, his
shrines fire bolts of energy that damage enemy units, and they can hide friendly units from enemy sight if Heretics are worshipping at the shrine. The Sorcerer’s tricks and abilities are many.
Gear & Abilities
The Sorcerer’s psyker abilities are pronounced even without the aid of wargear upgrades. His skills allow him to fire off psychic power at an area with his Doombolt ability. The more energy he has the more bolts he fires off. He can also use his Consume ability to consume the life force of an allied unit to regain Energy.
Tier 1
Sword of Flame – This weapon increases the Sorcerer’s melee damage and grants the Coruscating Flame ability which wreaths an allied unit in unholy flame, burning all those around them.
Vestments of the Warp – Inlaid with foul spells, these vestments grant the Warp ability, allowing the Sorcerer to teleport.
Sigil of the Rift – Granting the Warp Rift ability, this accessory allows the Sorcerer to tear an entrance and an exit in the Warp. The two locations can teleport nearby units from one to the other. The entrance and exit will remain available so long as the Sorcerer channels Energy to it.
Tier 2
Rod of Warpfire – Bestows increased melee damage and grants the Warpfire ability which triggers a line of fiery detonations, damaging infantry and vehicles.
Robes of Torment – Woven from barbed chains, these robes grant the Chains of Torment ability to the Sorcerer. The ability summons a mass of sorcerous chains that snare all nearby enemy infantry, immobilizing them so long as the central mass is not destroyed.
Icon of Tzeentch – The icon allows the Sorcerer to curse an enemy unit, causing them to explode if they die while under the effects of the curse, damaging those nearby.
Daemon Armor – Grants the Daemonic Shield ability that reduces incoming ranged damage. The shield can be placed at a chosen location by the Sorcerer and benefits all units within it.
Tier 3
Tome of Subjugation – This accessory grants the Subjugate ability, allowing the Sorcerer to temporarily gain control of an enemy unit. The Sorcerer is immobile during subjugation.
Globals Abilities
Dark Flames – Creates a line of fire that damages infantry. Infantry will temporarily catch on fire and hurt other nearby units.
Mass Warp – An ability to ensure that a breach is exploited or that your units safely escape from a superior force, Mass Warp teleports all of your units to the Sorcerer’s location.
Daemonic Summoning – Brand a targeted location with a summoning circle from which Bloodletters will periodically spawn. These daemons will remain so long as they have Energy, which drains over time.
Empyreal Abyss – Creates a devastating warp rift that deals heavy damage to units in an area. Unholy chains will pull nearby infantry into its area of effect.

I had to vote for the 'big mods' even though I tend to use small mods just as frequently. Firestorm over Kronus is absolutely awesome, and I'm looking forward to Firestorm over Kaurava. I also do enjoy the inquisition demonhunt mod, the tyranid mod.. There's an awful lot of talent put into some of these, and they deserve to know that their hard work is enjoyed in most all its forms. Keep it going guys!
DoW40k: Firestorm over Kronus
i like all the big mods though i havent tryed any of the smaller ones im sure they are good to
i prefer small mods.
no game is perfect, so little changes that nudge it slightly towards perfection are more than welcome!
I play on soulstorm with steel legion daemonhunters and tyranids all at once. With all the mods and expansions, its the only strategy game i need!
I have to say that I can't get enough of either and it is so awesome in DoW1 that you can run "combiner mods" that bring together your favorite big mods (Tyranids, Inquisition, Steel Legion, etc) with small ones that add special features, win conditions and the like. The possibilities of all these combinations are about endless and I'm still greatly enjoying DoW1 years after I bought it!
Can anyone tell me how to get steel legion working with SS?

definatly the story/single player
Story, you can forgive a lot about a game if the story holds you tight.
The game play as it is now is decent/good so if you can get a really interesting story you are golden.
I would lik race selection I hate when it picks for you Winter assualt had a awesome story and you pick order or disorder , pick which force ya wanna be and the game didnt get all the limits yet neither its my favorite
Definately the story.
Dawn of War and Winter Assualt had the type of story mod that was really good, whereas Dark crusade had a whole new campaign which wasn't boring as it was new, then soulstorm was basically the same which was disappointing in my view.
if a new DoW was to be made, i think they should take some of the mods into effectiveness and add tyrandids, Daemonhunters etc. Then have a big ass story like the ones in the first two games, choosing whether to be on the forces of the emperor or pure evil legions. then possibly have another side-story? like soulstorm's campaign as you can choose which race and stuff. that should be fun.
i think the Multiplayer has some srs issues that needed to be addressed in balancing whilst patches take ages to come out.
story was gonna be my 2nd choice
I've got to side with the majority on this.. Story. I enjoyed Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, but there's really a lack to an 'in depth' story. No 'characters' that are memorable. Dawn of War 2 has a pretty decent storyline. I'll really look forward to the update and what they do with the Chaos Expansion, and am looking even more towards the addition of other races, namely Tau and Imp Guard.
i'd say both the story and the gameplay. Sure the story has some cool stuff and something to captivate you but they need to add something original that does not copy the others but aht is big enough to give you the options to play in. As for the gameplay, it needs more variety, something that it would be cool to see...
Sorry to be the odd one out, but I've always been a fan of reasonably open-ended campaigns and don't like being tied to much to a defined storyline. I think it would be cool if the next release allowed for scalable conflicts ranging from micro to macro-level battles. To be honest, I think it would be really interesting to have a whole sector of planets you interact with and could direct small strategic missions or massive conflicts. Think what it would be like to have a constant online game a bit like WoW but starting with a few individual soldiers and developing them from initiates to sergeants to captains to commanders and up to generals of massive armadas. One of the things I most missed in DoW2 was the switch larger-scale wars to more or less minor skirmishes, which there are a lot of other games that do the same (Command & Conquer, etc) Anyway, that's my take on it for what it is worth!
For me the biggest thing is to get rid of Steam! I made the mistake of pre-ordering Dawn of War II. I still haven't been able to play it.
I like games with a good story line and then once you're done with that you can still have tons of fun with skirmishes, or map editors, or, for example something like a galactic conquest mode like Star Wars Empire at War has.
I wanna see more carnage, persistent bodies, and for the love of *insert deity* PLEASE ADD EXECUTIONS!!!!!

I'd say the original Dawn of War. Dark Crusade was cool too, but Dawn of War (original) didn't have much limits like on the land raider or preds.
Yeah, I play chaos and like the fact that in Dawn of War The marines could have more than 1 or 2 weapon upgrades.
Lol no one likes WA.
Dark Crusade has really lent itself to great amounts of modification without absurd procedure. I overall just seem to end up playing it more than the others. I enjoyed Dawn of War 2, but it just wasn't quite the same, especially the multiplayer structuring.
i think that Dawn of War Soulstorm is one of the Greatest games
and its going to has new and cool mods i check the mods on relicnews...
SOULSTORM
i would have to say dark crusade with mods like FOK (most godly mod ever ) without mods would go hands down to winter assult cause i liked how the campiagn played out
I have to say that I loved the original Dawn of War. It had a great storyline and was linear based. The newer games while bringing forth a lot of awesome mods, really lacked in the whole campaign aspect which really disappointed me. That and the newer characters just seemed to miss something for me. They didn't seem to be like the older characters with backgrounds.
now you do have a vary good point there
I have to admit I am really suprised at the results. For me its (in order)
Winter Assault
Dark Crusade
Soulstorm
DoW
(only played the demo of DoW II. I think I WOULD put it over DoW though)
Ya I know shocking, I just felt DoW was to easy, that and the other games had an Imperial Guard campaign that I was actually really interested in
the first was good n limits abit flawed and a few races
wa was just adding another race albeit a fun campaign but nothing no warrant a reveloution
dc:was standing on its own ading 2 new races new campaign great mods etc and it was standalone
ss:is were the series hits a stale point adding 2 new races and air vehichles otherwise its x3 coppy and past of the old campain to a grind
dow2:albeit upgraded revamped and diferent is just to alien to the wy it used to play
limiting units by to much and removing the element of strategic hordes
it did get rid of spam added a few modes but they went to far the otherway with dow 2 albeit good is more like a novelty toy compared to the first series
DoW: Dark Crusade the bantering between the commander was just pure win.

Being the primary weapon of the adeptus astartes, renowned for it's satisfying roar and punch. For a human to hold one of these highly sought after weapons at all is considered a great privelage and honour, although the models used by the astartes and the sisters of battle are much bigger and heavier than those given to officers of the Imperial Guard, for example. They can not be handled properly without artificial support like that provided by the Power Armour used by both organisations.
Standard Bolts comprise the following components: Outer casing, propellant base, main charge, mass reactive detonator cap, depleted uranium core, diamantine tip. The standard bolter shell is standardised at .75 calibre.... in other words they really, really hurt... alot
a servant of the emperor (regardless of ordos or organisation) could hope for no greater tool to combat the enemies of man.
Alright, alright son we don't need your life story, just your opinion
ha!!! none of these pansy weapons, i would love to have Vitarus - Lord Mephistons force weapon >: )
I would have to say Gorechild, it's very name is full of attitude, weilded by the greatest (if not the most stable) warrior ever, none other than the Betrayer of Skalathrax himself, Kharn, Equerry to Angron, the Red Angel. PS, can you tell I am a bit of a World Eaters fan?
I WANNA BURST CANNON!!!!!!!
WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This poll is full of the most fail spelling ever. But boltgun, definitely boltgun.
~How so?
Come on guys who would not want to use a chainsword and be there slashing the enemy's of the Imperium down, For Russ and The Emperor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will admit the chainswords are pretty cool, I even have DIY Chapter that has that particular weapon as their weapon of choice. However, I feel like the Gorechild is a step above an average chainsword. All of course are entitled to their opinion.
come on, who wudnt want a liighting claw
they just awesome!!!!!!
Eh.. Not that a chainfist is all that different, but give me a regular powerfist.
I'd want a Chain chained to my first...then again Lighting claws...eight reason why your going to have bad day...
HURRICAINE BOLTER!! whip out this bad boy (if I were a dreadnought) and watch the carnage unfold
wheres the lasgun...
Blastmaster FTW!
... anyhting could be a weapon... mainly a dog... but to be truthful a knife is better...

I think I might have if they opened up the modding, cos at the moment the multiplayer is just stripped down DoW1, making the campaign and the last stand the only things worth buying it for, so its a short game.
how about option 4
i didnt buy this game beacause it fails compared to original dow
i may move up to soulstorm so i can get on the morepopulated server
I thought that Relic had announced a map editor. Maybe they'll include it with Chaos Rising
I guess that's why its called DAWN OF WAR 2. But Relic should've named it differently, like not using the "Dawn of War" title in every RTS game they make.
meh DOW2 is fun but it really does need a mod community to expand on it ...just feels to plain for me in skirmish but i admit the campaign was interesting and had me do several playthroughs but im really looking forward to corrupting me some blood ravens xD

I hate it, it's way more complicated and whenever I try to search for something, there's no more search suggestions, and instead it comes up with an error message.
It also seems like only the positive options in the polls count.
Oh and I forgot to add, how come they can change the site but not fix the voting system?
Now I don't have to open more tabs in mozilla. I liked it better when the top files stayed on the upper part of the page
seems the same to me, but i would have loved it if the had changed the PotD... you can barely look at it... to freakin small... i just hope they change the voting system... still send me to a blank page and if i'm lucky i get the thing about me already voting... ...
P.S.: i like turkey...
I don't know about you guys but i like turkey =D
Eh, its not horrible but I dont really care for it. Everything just seems awkward to me.
the PotD is in a horrible spot. Today was actually the first day I noticed it sense its been change (ive been thinking the feature map was the PotD the whole time and it just hasnt been updated)
Kinda sucks that i just get error messages when i try and search for things.... didn't used to do that... i wish i'd never registered lolAnd just been the silent guest!
I voted I like turkey, becaus..well... god damnit i do love turkey!

Turkey all the way!
I agree, the new layout is ok, but it could've been better.
BTW, foofong1, it double posted your comment, lol.
this new layout seems more complicated...i can't understand some of things.
it was better the old one...but well if this layout will be the new...its ok.

turkey where i want it.....I LIKE TURKEY
the main page is kindof bad cant see the potd it seems clutterd
although the posting system i like better
i forgot say that when i type on search to find a file it gives me a.....suggestion error.
god i hate it.
ps i like turkeys ttoo
I'm not so keen at the minute, but I'll get used to it. Mainly because the PotD is too small.
Btw i am the person who voted 'I like turkey' because i thought it wouldnt let me vote, but it did.
Personally I liked the old site, this one looks way too cluttered.

First of all I'd like to reintegrate how to submit files :
Welcome to Dawn of War Files and thanks for considering hosting your file with us.
We will not accept any files whose contents seem legally questionable; this includes files that embed a hacked executable or include copyrighted materials used without explicit consent/permission e.g. ripped off from an other game/mod.
In order to host your file we have a couple of requirements:-
You must have permission to use other peoples material, unless the author has publicly stated that permission does not need to be sought.
A readme in plain text (.txt) describing what your file is/does and how to install it. Give credit where credit is due.
If these are missing then we regret that we cannot publish your file.
We strongly recommend:-
While not complying with these points will not stop us hosting your file they are recommendations for your benefit from our experience as Staff.
Use the ZIP format. All operating systems support ZIP format, and many major OS's support opening them natively where as formats such as RAR require third party programs to open them. Not everybody knows how to open them which can reduce the number of people able to use your file. You are strongly encouraged to use ZIP over any other compression format.
Screenshots! People want to see what your file looks like to help them decide if they should download or not. Files with good screenshots get many more downloads and attention so it is worth your while taking some good screenshots. Screenshots must be in JPG format (.jpg). Now my issue is I've been noticing people submitting files with no read me or there spamming the description section to meet the min. requirements which is and always be a rejecting I don't have time to fill out the description part for you or make a readme for you! ugh....ultramarines as always....i liked these polls better when they didnt involve marines ore the smurfs
....sorry for double post but *eats random e*
Thought I try something new...
Luna Wolves for me. I just like how they were strong and smart =D. Also because of Garviel Loken was pretty cool.
Death Guard. The intricate and somewhat unorthodox structure involving the oddball number of companies and their genesis from the 'dusk raiders' always appealed to me. Not to mention, since Nathaniel Garro was directly responsible for exposing the heresy and was later instrumental in the foundation of what would become the inquisition, they certainly played qutie a role in the 'future' of humanity.
Blood angels... too bad its not letting me vote
Iron Hands, gotta love bionics
Emperors Children all the way.
From the smallest to one of the greatest legions and not just in size but in victories and honors. The cleansing of Laer being one of these. Even Horus himself recognised the Emperors Children as being on of the best Legions around.
And actually ghostie0013 you'll find that it was Saul Tarvitz who found out about the betrayal and was the person that warned Garro and Loken.
And we don't know if Garro is one of the chosen for the Inquisition yet, it's been hinted at yes, but nothing has been confirmed. We'll have to wait and see. He could be one of the early Grey Knights
Nash: Yes, you're right. I guess I worded it a bit too ambiguously. I should have named garro 'delivery boy' of the message.
hey its alright dw about it lol most poll's go like this anyways also if my net would let me vote i would go for death guard also sorry for triple post
very hard for me to choose, my fav pre-heresy legions are iron warriors, iron hands, word bearers, world eaters, emperors children, luna wolves/sons of horus, death guard and dark angels, so very hard for me to choose, but id have to say out of all of them it would have to be word bearers,
Raven Guard
Blood Angels All the way!
I would have to go with the blood angels, before the flaw they where beyond doubt the noblest and purest hearted of the chapters. led by their brother angel, they embodied skill at close combat without the weakness of anger and savagery that was so prevailent in the world eaters, and also the courage to hold the line so others may live, exemplified by actions such as the gate of the palace and the boarding action against horus. Sanguinius' sacrifice showed the imperium that even in the face of certain annihlation, heroism is achieved through the blood of the martyr as much as that of the enemy.
"Deus Sanguinius!"
no idea to be honest never got into sm
i kno they are the most popular race but still why are these polls always on the imperium and sm.
You guys never ask about favourite tau septs now do you?
Thousand Sons
... true... i believe you can make your own poll... therefore make it and you will get what you need if you really want something new, you know the SM aren't the only race in 40k...
Thousand Sons
Id have to go for the imperial Fists, feel there an over-looked chapter... The whole Iron cage insident was a great lore for me, They never backdown and are just as Badass as a Blood Angel when Pissed off
Salamanders. They have always accepted what they had to do without complaint. They were not interested in basking in glory but simply doing what had to be done. Pre and post heresy they are one the least egotistical chapters.
Death Guard!!!
Why do so many vote the smurf marines? Blood Angels FTW!
The Blood Angels are the best legion/chapter to fight agaisnt the Chaos, with the Death Company.
really ultramarines....?
forum I am disappoint
they were just as boring pre heresy as they are now :
Space Wolves are close to my heart, mostly because of where they come from, Norse Mythology. and Fenris, a cold, hard world of beauty and danger. sort of like my home. they also have a system that most resembles a wolf pack, which turns out to be my Spirit Guide and teacher. not to mention that they always have the internal struggle of the wulfen to deal with. they may not be as structured or noble, but they are the most loyal and they always get the job done, no matter what.
Night Lords: 0.0% (0)
What?
Yeah I voted for Death Guard but they're 0.0% too.

Actually, I think I'd have to say my favorite is from the Soul Drinkers. "Cold and Fast!"
mine has to be "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!"
What the hell does vinctorus aut mortis mean? It doesnt actually mean anything!
I have to go with Ultramarine's "Courage and Honour" however I prefer the "common you Apes, you want to live forever!?" that I say to my Guardsmen
Where's "KILL FOR THE LIVING! KILL FOR THE DEAD!" ?!?!
Victory unto death, thats what Victorous aut Mortis mean, i believe... then again. My favorite is: 'Make it clean or we'll make it bloody!'
While I don't play orkz I still like the
"WAAAGGHHH"
Wait ...
same thing that killswitch :
"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD !"
lol i hawe only one battlecry THIS IS IMPERIAL GUARDSS!!!!!!!!!!
My real life favourite is latin
VENI VIDI VICHI !!!
(i came)(I Saw)(I conquered)
aww hells. Guess I have to bring up this one after all.. "SPOOOOOOONNNN!" - The Tick.
yeah ummm that comment was beyond uncalled for, this is Warhammer site Not movie site where you can post disgusting comments, such as you posted. Keep your comments clean. Do not let me warn you again. Read the rules.
~Uwsar
My favorite is The military sos SHIT ON A SHINGLE (Stick)
Since there is no "Fjodr Fenris!" I'll have to go with the "For the Great Father and the Emperor!"
Into the fires of battle! Unto the anvil of war! has to be my favourite. Just cos salamanders are ace and dont need to sell themselves by making other chapters like evrybody else did.
P.S. If tht cry aint salamanders, make as big a fool out of me as you like + why can we still not vote and is anyone looking into this?
I believe the staff is working on the voting system... not sure...
even better... NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!

It was Tyranids but since the poll thingy is being problematic guess that space marines always gets top place
Nuff said.
I just love having large infantry battles, WW 1 style.
Can't wait for IG as a fully playable race
@4
lol in dow2 there can never be FULLY playable races as you only get mini squads and a very limited number of units. DOW2 offers only partially playable races. If you want FULLY playable IG I recommend the FOK mod for DC (SS is in production).

Sorry for the double post. Filefront has some strange hickups.
I was going to vote for Space Marines, but the voting system is all screwy for me so I'll just comment. I absolutely just love the systematic cruelty and hardiness the Space Marines show. In a galactic war like that, there is no room for mercy, and its nice that the Imperium of Man understands that.
Now once the newly-announced expansion comes out for it, my favorite will be the Chaos Space Marines. ( I absolutely loved them in Dawn of War ).
Yeah.Thats one of the main Reason I didn't like DoW2. DC has so many more units and you can make massive armys. DoW2 you can still have somewhat large armys, but it takes so much longer to build them.
Yeah, but then again, we all know that dawn of war 2 is not about massive army gameplay. It would still be great if they added races maybe two at a time? But of course, Relic wants us to wait to get us excited when the time comes when a new race is added. If you check the dawn of war 2 imperial guard ebps wargear that shows that they're most likely gonna add the IG in an expansion after chaos rising.
Dawn of War 2 would be awful without the imperial guard. Hope they add civilians too.
More than that - If there will be a chaos campaign who will we got to kill then playing as traitor marines? In that case they should make IG at least as enemies for chaos and add some civilians to slaughter in the name of the Blood God
Eldar FTW!
Btw, anyone besides me getting kinda annoyed with all the pop ups and adds now?
My favorite would be the Imperial Guard because their tanks own.
Next would probably be Space Marines then Chaos. Thats just me though
Hell, yeah, Tanx, where's the bloody Taaaanx!!!
i choose the imperial gaurds, they're just badass
1. Space Marines
But i just gotta say, the Space Marines is the sole army in DOW that has alot of disadvantages. All the other races outshoots their main infantry, even the Imperial Guard. Their heavy bolter is piss-weak compared to the Chaos Marine heavy bolter (which i will discuss later). They have so many disadvantages that i'd rather not discuss em all. I'd just say one of their advantages, The Orbital Relay and the deep strike ability. Deepstriking Dreadnoughts is fun. With all that disadvantages i still like using them because of the challenge of making them triumph. (Well for me they are challenging to use, don't know about you people)
2. Imperial Guard
I hate their cheapness, i really do. I mean a commissar that has a skill that restores morale and boosts dmg to 75 dps. And it cools down quickly. That's just cheap, but still i like the guard. Because like most people say, they ARE badass. You got ordinary men fighting dudes that will rip them in half with their bare hands. And they fight with nothing but semi automatic flashlights and reinforced jackets. You must have balls of steel to accomplish such thing. Which the guard have plenty of. Plus the voice acting on their units is top notch.
3. Chaos Space Marines
Here's, for me, another cheap army. You got a basic infantry that has almost the same firepower as an Obliterator. (With their heavy bolters) I don't really know why their heavy bolter is stronger than the Space Marines but if it is for balance, well thats the most pathetic attempt at balance yet. What's worst is they can be infiltrated. You basically got yourself an infiltrated Obliterator here. But despite all that using them is loads of fun. I love watching the Bloodthirster make a baseball out of infantry. I love how they can stand up after a brutal attack. And of course, who doesn't love the maniacal laughter of a Chaos Marine? Whats more scary than a big horned dude laughing while sadistically killing you? Plus the Dark Crusade Chaos Lord's voice is badass.
That's my top 3
That is all
wont let me pick but i was going to pick space marines because they have cool looking units and its fun to play with them.(i know this isnt a very good answer but ill think of another)
Eldar are trhe best... no matter the hell they're in... specially with the avatar's flamming sword... that beats everyone...
NECRONS
You can't kill what's not even alive!
...
I said enough

As you can imagine, I have a queue of files backed up, so sorry if your file hasn't been validated, I'm working through that queue right now.. there is about a 2 week backlog, though one of the NA's has done a few recently.. Oh, by the way, I'm Mikey, haha, I've been validating the files here for about 2-3 months, and if anyone needs to contact me personally, to help out or whatever, email me at mikey@parlancia.com ...
For those of you who have been posting comments to the POTD with new potds, guys, you're great, I really, really appreciate that
Hopefully the site will stop stagnating now, as I'm back, and I don't forsee myself going anywhere for a while.
