	This News Item has been viewed 17338 times! The Dark Eldar mod seems to be motoring along quite well, thats great news to hear! They are featuring a couple new tasty items, the first being a WIP render of the Haemonculus, the second being a video featuring the animations for the Wych unit. Remember, both are work in progress, but I have to say both look awesome none the less! that.... dosn't look like dark eldar.

im.. not interested in dark eldar, maybe their should be a poll on which we show how many actually care abouth this mod.... if it comes out before the tau mod (of course everything WILL) i might even consider getting it

Look, I really found no contact info for the design team on the game Dawn of War. Please foward this to any member, if you can. Dear Dawn of War Winter *****ualt Team: If you have noticed the mod community has 2 differnt mods already with the Imperial Guard in them and a Dameon Hunters mod that has Steel Legion Imperial Guardsmen in them, this mod also has models that are excellent. So my question is why did you choose Imperial Guard instead of more rich, fun, BETTER races like the Tyranids and Tau? It makes little sense. I commend you on throwing out the older models for the engine and making brand new ones so I doubt easiness (LAZYNESS) was a motivator? If any of you go to Dawn Of War Files (just do a google search) you will find evidence of 2 Imp. Guard mods (and another mini one with just the units that came in game) a stellar Daemon Hunters mod (which I suggest you just download for amusment) a Tau mod that is progressing as slowly as a snail a Dark Eldar mod a Necron mod that is progessing very fast and finally a Whitch Hunters mod. I don't know any Tyranid mod so why don't fill in the niche that is missing? So please listen to your fans (im not the only one, ask any fan of Warhammer 40000 and Dawn of War becasue I DO play both.)

no, its a free world, and you are cleanly expressing your opinion. However, you are doing so in the wrong place. If you wish to reach the game developers, go to http://www.relic.com or to http://forums.relicnews.com/ and post/email them in the appropriate place. That will greatly increase the chance of Relic, the people you want to contact, to see it. Furthermore, there is a Tyranid mod, its at http://www.dudeslair.com/tyranids

Finally, that isn't really an Eldar (or dark eldar) its kind of another creature that helps them. Basically a torturer. Think of the Kroot to the Tau, except this one is much more sophisticated.

Yeah. Haemoculi are like mutant style creatures. Not really actual Eldar. They're an important unit to the army in TT though.

The skin is going to be of good quality from what I can see until now. It certainly has a nice, painted feel to it. I'd desaturate some of the lightest parts though to give it a grittier feel! A characterful model too (the head reminds me the tomyknockers when I see it in 3d!), looks a bit cartoony right now due to the strong colors but that's a matter of taste as we all know.

finally some dark eldar in a warhammer game? *gasp* makes a change from the damn eldar and spacemarines KILL THE NON-EVIL ONES!

They're basically sadist DE (like, more sadist than your average DE, which is still pretty impressive), who literally live out their lives in vast torture chambers, brutally torturing captured prisoners for the amusement of Dark Eldar Archons.

Most Haemonculi are bordering on completely insane (and a few have crossed that line), but they are masters of their art. When an enemy psyker is captured on the field of battle, often a Haemonculus will remove their souls and encase then in caskets (crucibles of Malediction), which can be released in a powerful warp shockwave, turning their very souls into potent anti-psyker weaponry for the DE.

Anyways, since DE are sadly pretty much ignored in 40k, I hope this mod does them justice with some nice vicious stuff ! }:-)-

The model is good but it is wider than it sould be. The haemonculi are ment to look emaciated and thin. For good model reference but a dark eldar codex, they're only about $20, they provide great reference into the culture and design for the models and organisation tables.

I have an dark eldar army myself and i really like it you guys are making a dark eldar mod. Ignore the negative reactions as im sure most people really love the mod. Good luck! Rock

Definately! I cant wait for a DE mod! By far the best species in the 40k universe. Tau are one of the worst, necron are a close 2nd. DE are the only race with a real graspable personality.

I love dark eldar and have a 2000 point army Keep this mod rolling.
