Hey guys,

Here is even more DoW II information for you kids to feast on!

This article gets into more depth about the single player campaign, and the multiplayer mode of the game, so this is a definite read for some of you! Here's a couple of notes though: 1) there will be at least a few missions that will allow the player to play around with more than 4 squads of units; 2) There will be a headquarter which you can call in more units to the battle field.

Check it out in full detail:

"even though we were the original" is indeed epic.

I wonder how they'll balance those commander units, I'd hate to see some stupid tactic about using FC cause its just op-ed compared to techmarine...

then again, I'm sure they wont overlook it (i hope).

First of all you dont know crap about either commander in multiplayer other than fc is a combat role and techmarine is a support role, in all respect it could very well be the opposite of what you said, so for gods sake dont assume.

Being an expert in TableTop or dawn of war isnt as effective as saying your an expert of, ohhh say... Company of heros, which is the main influence of dow2. In reality, knowing tabletop isnt exactly a feat to help with determining rts game mechanics at all.

That argument isn't really constructive, please take it to personal message.

Warrior I'm not sure what your problem is, but being an expert of TT i think warrants the understanding that an FC is vastly more powerful than a mere techmarine, especially in CC. I dont even try to make guesses on what the CoH mechanics, i voiced an opinion that I hope theres no IMBA problems that have thus far plagued the DOW games. cool

I think i have a right to assume there could be problems, and with good reason. Not that I dont look forward to the DOW 2 game big grin

and with that, i will accept what abbadon says and kindly shut up.

i did not mean any harm, i was only saying a smart player with a techmarine will probably be able to kick the crap out of a noob charging force commander, and ofcourse Vice Versa. i mean we know the techmarine can lay turrets and other defensive structures, i doubt any techmarine player with any sense at all would try to use his techmarine as an offensive weapon, Especially against a mero hero such as the force commander (unless he has some sort of long range capability, that allows him to pull some microed hit and run attacks, obviously we dont know yet because of the lack of info)

-Not to mention commanders are leveld now, and im sure from the way they described it levels would play the main role in which hero is more helpful in any situation, Not only combat, i was just describing if that they were both at even levels, one player should be able to outmanuver the other in order to win, a lot of the things there introducing in DOW2 tabletop players dont always have to worry over, which is why i made my earlier post, i was not trying to be negative, just simply prove the fact that its not as beneficial as knowing more about company of heros,

-Sorry if that caused any harm, Its on topic so i dont exactly know what the problem is, but when it comes to admins its safer to just not ask and shut up most of the time.

in DOW, the normal ones, you should try and place the type of game level into Insane and only get four squads, one squad has only three soldiers, alll upgraded to heavy bolters, another squad with three scout all upgraded to sniper rifles, the third squad has only three assault marines and the last squad is a four-men squad (including sarge). if you wish to add a force commander, do it, but this is very tense and i've tried it. IT IS AWESOME!Beer! Beer!
