  Special Night Shift Program In The Works - Mod News

Hi guys,

Some news here from the Night Shift Mod. It appears a cool launcher program is in the works, which searches for night maps & if you have outdated ones, then it provides you with links for the newer ones! It also does this with the mod itslef. Sounds cool, dont ya think!

The Night Shift Launcher Program

The Main Menu items from the first screenshot...
Launch:
Launch DC and play the mod.
Online:
Opens a link to our future website.
Update:
Checks the user's night shift version, then compares it with the version on the night shift server, if the mod is outdated, it provides download links for the most recent version.
Maps:
This is the really crazy part. It searches the user's Night shift mod for night maps that didn't come with the mod, then compares it with the night maps on our server. Then it provides a download list with night maps.
What maps are in this list?
- Maps that aren't installed by the user yet.
- Maps that exist, but are outdated.
This means all future night maps made by the community will be stored on my server and all night shift users can download it and install it automatically by launching this program and selecting the desired maps from a list!
Help:
Tutorials for players, mappers, modders.
Exit:
Exit the launcher.

Posts: 106 		it's a mod that connects u to a map server,it gives u a list of updates for maps u have and links for ones u don't,specifically maps set after dark,so it'll be like an invasion under cover of darkness,sounds like a good idea,finally a use for the lights on the Rhino,land raider,etc
