If you're a fan of Thudmeizer's Skirmish AI, then here is your chance to make it better! Thud is announcing he requires beta testers.

We need AI testers for a quick 3-4 day stress-test of our forthcoming pre-DC Skirmish AI which Arkhan has graciously optimized and enhanced to allievate the studdering/lag some of you have reported. Our aim is to get this out to the public before DC (releasing a week today in N. America).

I have tested the v1.95 AI candidate and have zero problems with it but need community members who have "inheritently" had studdering/lag problems: WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!

The Advanced DoW AI team has been around since right after DoW launched (circa Sept'04) and yes we've had recruitment calls for many different builds over the years. Had no idea this one would be called out "publically". I usually do the marketting/code integration for the AI mod and the coders (Arkhan, Larkin, Corsix) do the godly coding work. Testers ensure we're "on track".

So thanks all. v1.95 is meant as a "remedial release" for those who are experiencing that reported lag/studder on some systems. DC ships on Oct 9th and AI updating will take place once we get it. FunFun times lay ahead all.. Standby!

BTW, I use nothing but your mod, except for online purposes, so yea, I hope you find some willing Beta's soon, stick out tongue
