Warhammer is very specific, centralised and detailed, you can't just make 'a human race and a cyborg race' and invent a flawed backstory that not only doesn't make sense and is kind of impossible, it also ignores some of the facts of the 40k universe (as qwerty said, why would the Tau invents a weapon that kills everything, and also, that would be pretty frickin impossible) |

The story is Terrible and makes no sense to me. The Tau wouldnt be stupid enough to make an army of Cyborgs, they rely heavily on Technology, not necrons. The other thing is that you just completely eradicated all the Interesting races from the game, and effectively kept the imperial guard, and a bunch of Tau drones with arms and legs. Then some terrible name "bioorgs"?...

I'd be surprised with the support youre gonna get for that, though If you get any progress and fans at all, then I will eat my hat for you. |

You can't really add anything new to a wh 40k game, i mean even GW struggles to add new stuff, i mean it's taken them years upon years to get to what they have now. It was a miracle they even added the tau and that process took a while. So basically what im trying to say is this mod would be a "self- enjoyment" sort of deal since nobody who really knows any fluff or anything about the 40k world will really pay any attention to it. Go to any Star Wars/ Star Trek mod sight and you will notice that when someone creates an alternate universe no-one complains because they understand it isn't real and you can do what ever you want to the Universe like saying the Empire didn't exist in Star Wars or Captain Jayneway (not quite sure on the spelling) was never born in Star Trek. You notice they don't complain because the person is creating another version of a made up universe. Now then, this mod sounds interesting, though your grammer and punctuation could use a lot of work, if your first language isn't English then never mind. Keep working on it and ignore these ******.

Look at The Futile mod. They're going strong, adding new races within the 40K parameter as to avoid lawsuits, and I for one am looking forward to it. I've seen very little flak for their mod. And all of you *****heads telling this kid (if he is a kid) that he's going to fail, that he sucks or whatever the hell else, back off. Jesus Christ, at least offer constructive criticism. You sound like single minded idiots with your blunt condemnations.
And to whoever posted this... You're getting flak because, I'm sorry to say this, your story line just isn't that good. It's pretty generic. And to stand out in a very unique literary and gaming Universe such as 40K, you're going to need to come up with a more creative story line. I mean, just think about it... The 40K story has developed slowly over 20+ years. You're trying to throw in a very simple, bare-boned Man vs. Machine plot and get away with it.
For example, GW added Necrons to fill a similar role to the one you're using Bioorgs for. However, they incorperated elements of Man vs. Himself and Man vs. the Unknown in their history, making them more unique. You also need to rethink your story in order to avoid lawsuit.
Kudos for the effort, though. It's creative, if not well thought out. Just have a nice sit down, scratch out some ideas, read up on fluff so you can figure out how to beat the system and avoid lawsuit. Also, I would recommend reading up on your grammer, unless English is your second language. But don't give up because some jerks decided to put you down. |

Also slightly because the creativity is a bit bland, and slightly ripped off the futile mod. But since he has kept it in the same universe, what has happened to all the other races? where did they go? What's Their story and part to play in this mod?
This kinda thing really needs thinkin' through before he makes any dramatic steps like this. And this is why this mod is (perhaps unfortuately) Doomed to failure.
Also if he changes it all and kicks it off to a good start, then the big problem there could perhaps be Lawsuit. |

Now dont get me wrong, I like creativity - I think the futile mod is one of the best things to happen to the DOW mod community for awhile, but this mod just isnt worth the time.
Its some players wet dream and nothing more. We've seen mod announcements like this before and watched them stopped within a few days. DONT STOP WORKING ON MODS - The last thing I want to do is demoralise someone, but just realise that what your doing makes absolutely no sense within the sphere of 40k background and even if you make it, few people will play it. |

The tau would never do something like that and there are too many similarities. You wouldn't be able to keep sm/imp as they were because it is so far in the future. They would have changed tech wise or something.
Look mate you have a creative aspect. So use that talent for something else. Find out if other mods need help with campaign ideas etc. |

Posts: 1502 | it's not that he's adding a new race, its that hes adding races that already exist (IoM and Necrons, sort of), and he's doing it in a ridiculously sloppy and flawed manner that actually hurts the real W40K universe as well ( the whole 'Tau destroying the universe thing, and the humans living for 10000 years (bearing in mind that the oldest Space Marine, who themselves are functionally Immortal, is 1100 years old, and he's something of a special case. A non Astartes usually cannot hope of living past 200 years even with augemetics, and still be able to fight to top it off) |

I personally think this mod sounds pretty good. Unfortunately, I realize it's never going to happen. A good try though on the part of the modder. Creativity is good.
